Post-Medication Abortion Contraception (PMAC) Market Building

IHI is working with Ipas to strengthen contraceptive access for women self-managing medication abortion, especially in pharmacies, in Kenya and Pakistan. We developed market systems plans in both countries, integrating user insights, commercial marketing, and national policies to guide sustainable models. Our current role focuses on facilitating project learning through workshops, learning briefs (Kenya and Pakistan), and knowledge-sharing activities. In Kenya, findings will inform a PMAC investment case, while in Pakistan, they will guide advocacy efforts for pharmacy-led PMAC provision.
