Integrated Health Services Strategy

IHI is supporting the Integrated Health Services Department, WHO, in a strategy development process, facilitating the co-creation of a refreshed value proposition and departmental theory of change. Part of the process involves exploring the role that the department plays within its ecosystem, drawing on insights from key stakeholders in a transparent and collaborative way.

Global Network for Anti-corruption, transparency and accountability in health (GNACTA) 

IHI supported the operations of WHO’s Global Network for Anti-corruption, Transparency, and Accountability in health (GNACTA). We successfully planned for and facilitated strategy meetings for GNACTA, including the convening of a Steering Committee and a two-day technical meeting. Our contributions included the development of detailed meeting agendas, a suite of communication products, and a final meeting report which provided actionable recommendations.

Malaria Case Management in the Private Sector: Design Workshop Tanzania 

IHI collaborated with PSI and WHO to pilot a handbook designed to enhance country-level strategies for improving private sector malaria case management. This initiative included facilitating a workshop in Tanzania to test the handbook's efficacy. Based on insights gathered from the workshop, IHI developed a strategic plan aimed at bolstering private sector malaria case management in Tanzania.

Country Connector on Private Sector in Health (CCPSH) 

In partnership with WHO, IHI led the co-development and implementation of the Country Connector initiative to strengthen health systems resilience and private sector engagement. IHI operated a Support Desk, providing virtual assistance and maintaining a clearinghouse of real-time country experiences. We supported working groups and a Steering Committee within the framework. Additionally, IHI contributed to the CCPSH satellite session at the 2022 Health Systems Research Conference, developing products and facilitating discussions to enhance private sector involvement in health systems.

Virtual Facilitation for EMRO’s UHC Consultation 2022 

In December 2022, IHI provided virtual facilitation support for the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (EMRO) during their five-day meeting on Universal Health Coverage. Utilizing our expertise in virtual event management, we ensured seamless coordination and interaction among participants within the hybrid meeting format.
